Quotable Sunday.

In all religions this festival has been one of confidence, of trust and of hope, because of a feeling that the light must prevail; out of the seed planted in the earth something will spring forth which seeks the light and will thrive in the light of the coming year.

Sorry I dropped out of the Quotable Sunday. My ex-husband is causing problems about my blog so I've had to go to authorized readers only. If you want to read La Vie En Rose, email me at knitblogger@cox.net and I'll add you. Thanks!

A beautiful wreath. I just love advent... that notion of confidence and hope is so comforting... especially in a time of year when there is so much darkness and cold.

this year I really need advent- the quiet, the calm, the waiting and watching for good things to come, and the hope-filled preparation and making good things for others.

Light is a promise. This is such a valued reminder in these days of darkness: there is hope!

We put out our advent calendar and candles yesterday and Cora keeps asking what advent is. This helps me. Hope. Hope for the light to come. A season of preparation. Thank you!

Lovely quote and photo Kyrie. Hope is such an incredible gift and I love the notion of it being embodied in light. Can't wait to see what you have planned for Advent.
